This is one of the many many food alleys in this major market. It is call Namyangdo. It is huge!! I hope to get to this market again, and another that is just as big another time. Shopping is wonderful!! However, it is really, really cold!! On the left is the entrance to the train station. It is huge and crowed.

Kimshe

On the right is radish kimshe, on the left cabbage. This is sooooo good. It is the dish that is put in the ground to age. Sort of like sourkrout. There are all kinds of this dish - cabbage, cucumber, all kinds of vegetable kimshe. It is a bit spicy but soooo good.

More pictures

This is one of my favorites, as it is sweet. These are Korean pancakes. They are a dough that is sweet and then is fried on a grill. You can see how they start by looking at the white "lump" next to the bowl. They come out very hot and delicious. Love the food here. I don't have a picture but you can order a Mondong dish, that you stire and cook right at your place.

First food I had, it was great!!

This is a dumpling soup (chicken broth) that is stuffed with meat. The little dark things, is sea weed. It is very light, yet filling. Of course I used chop sticks for the dumplings.

My first experience in Korea, Yongsan

This is how the markets look here. These markets are full of everything one can think of. Not only are the stores as you see, but there are underground ones, and ally ways and stores that can go upward as much as 6-9 floors. They are divided up into what is offered, meaning there is a jewelry section, kitchen appliances section, eating ally ways, etc. It takes days to get through one shopping market. The produce is awesome!!

Hello all

No pics this time either. But enjoying my job. I work with kids all day ages 6-12 and it is tiring for me. We have had rain everyday, but it stops and the sun comes out. Then it is hot! I'm going to Lectinstein this weekend. (Spelling might be wrong) Hope I can borrow someone's camera to get some pictures. Had a great 4th of July, painted faces all day on kids. It was fun. See everyone is a month and a half.

Hi all

Well, here I am in Germany again, at Ramstein. I'm working with the kids here, at the summer enrichment program, and at the after school program. It is really fun. I get to go on field trips (and they are awesome here in Germany) and play games with the kids. I am really enjoying my time, so far.

I don't have a camera with me, as my hhg didn't arrive before I left, so there may not be any pics unless I purchase another, or a friend takes some. I'm really busy and don't have much time to travel this time. So, I will go to the places that I've been to that are around her again. Everything here is worth seeing twice, if not three times. I'm really enjoying the food here also. More later.
