A beautiful little "worship" place. Notice that the writing is Chinese. This is left over from when the Chinese occupied S. Korea. They have always been occupied until the 1940's, if you remember the TV Series MASH. That took place during the "Korean Conflict". (Those of you that remember that time!)

The "band" that was playing for the young man's ceremony. I thought I got a video of it, so you could hear the music, but couldn't find it on my camera. It was a very "interesting" tune.

A ceremony when a young man gets married. It is interesting, many young women do not want to get married. They want to work, so they delay marriage. They usually don't get married until there in their 30's. Also, it is very much a "class" system here. Still have arranged marriages and also, you do not marry "below" your class. This is getting less and less as the younger generation are rebelling against it.

Picture of one end of the house to the other. The back room is that of the "Patriarch" of the family. The chair is where the Partriarch always sat. The family on the floor around him.
