My house
This is where I live. I have the two top floors. It is an old warehouse that was redone. The road next to me is an old Roman trade route. It is said that Napoleone used it when he visited the Bishop in Wurzburg. Roman coins have been found around here. The place is Dettelbach, Germany. It is a walled city, and was taken over during WWII. There is a monument in the back for the people that were shot by German Soldiers because they were in the resistance. Vineyards are in the back of my house.

Hunting in Germany
I went hunting with my landlord and his neighbors. He is sooooo into hunting, so we hit if off right away when I found my house. Anyway, of course I couldn't carry a gun, there are very strict laws about that. The Germans are very serious about their hunts. It is very organized, and it is like a ritual. We all spread out, and then walked towards each other. (Yeah I almost freaked out too.) Then, when the rabbits start running, they shoot. I didn't carry a gun, so I got to carry the rabbits after they were shot. A little man on a tractor pulled this cart that was decorated. The rabbits were hung like you see. Then, in the middle of nowhere, food and drink were brought at lunch time. (Beer and Schnaps, etc) A big fire was made and then they blew horns to say we could eat. Then, off we go again, of course after the horns blew again. After the hunt, we came home to a huge dinner, and the skining of the rabbits. I was so tired, I could barely eat. They have fun!!

Drex and Gerry
These are more friends (at the party). Drex is our PA (sort of our secretary and he runs the office) and his wife, Gerry, is over our program. We have great times with them. They have 2 children (who are Jack Russels - Pooh and Bear). We love when they come to the office.

More friends and a Surprise!!
This is Cathy, another co-worker. She is with here Landlord and his wife. He was in the German Army during WWII, and was stationed on the Russian front. He has lots of stories to tell, but he doesn't really like to talk about it.
Now the Surprise!! Cathy is from Utah!! Yes, she was born and raised in North Ogden. She gratuated from Weber High (the school my mom and all my cousins went too.) We discussed people we think are mutual acquaintences. Her family is from Smithfield, and we have relatives in the same towns, etc. It is amazing that our paths crossed. We are at her house for Willy's birthday.

Two more of my very good friends.
This woman is awesome. She is one of my co-workers. She was born and raised in Germany, and then at 18 she saved money and went to the US. There she worked until she joined the Air Force and become a medic. She was in the Air Force for 12 years and become an American citizen. She met her husband Charles (but I call him George) in America, and they have been married for 24 years (or there about). These two are great people.
