There was some type of Korean ceremony going on and these 3 guys pulled me up for me to take a picture. They were really nice and wanted to practice their English with me.

Here are some ladies dressed in traditional atire and are selling their wares in the walking marked at Insa Don

This picture didn't come out as well as I would have hoped. This is a treat to some, and many eat it while shopping. It is silk worm larvae. It stinks to high heaven, and no, I did not try it!

These guys were hams! They make candy by placing a piece of honny in the middle of a flour mixer that they spin and spin until it is the texture of very fine hair. Then cut a little length and roll the honny inside it. It is really really good!

This little man is painting a name in ancient Korean characters. If you can read the sign you can see the meaning. He paints on silk for a little less than 5.00. Absolutely beautiful and talented. I loved watching him. The city he was in is Insa Dong. Great Korean folk are in this market.

Some of the tantalizing food sold in the markets. I haven't quite figured out what kind of fish this is, but I didn't try it. The other stuff, I haven't figured out yet either.

Hi there. Well, here is a real tradition of Korea that has been around for centuries. When someone gets married, they are given a pair of ducks. Wrapped like this. In the bottom is a place to put some money also. But the ducks are for the couple when they are angry or upset. The necks turn inward and outward. When on of the spouses is upset they turn "their" ducks head outward. That is to show they are angry or upset and "do not bother me!!" (The one with the little tassel is the woman) When the one that is upset is ready to be approached or is no longer angry, they will turn the ducks head in. This is also to show any guest that comes to the house. They will know the one or the other is upset, and not to bother them. What a great Marriage Therapy tool, don't you think? Yes, I bought a pair.
